Will Monty, U12-U14 Girls Academy Director

Will Monty grew up in Castleton, New York where he would play for Greenbush SC and FC Dutchmen before representing Maple Hill High School. He would also represent the Adirondack Division in athletics at the Empire State Games in 2010. Monty would continue his education at the University of Albany and begin to cover the Men’s Soccer Program for the Albany Student Press where he would grow his passion for the sport and understanding of the game at a high-level. 

Monty would continue to cover the sport for local radio broadcaster 90.9 WCDB before moving onto 104.5 The Team ESPN Radio while balancing a career in education in New York state. He would begin his coaching journey for Affrim Sports ‘Go to Goal’ program and later his boyhood club Greenbush SC before swapping for the mountain lifestyle of Colorado in 2020 and joining ALBION Boulder County in 2022. In this time, Monty would be awarded his USSF C License and continue to pursue his vision of the game. In 2024, he was awarded ALBION Boulder County’s Competitive Girls Coach of the Year.

Will Monty instills in each of his players a growing love for the game, of competition, and self-improvement intrinsically from each player. When not coaching, you can find him in the back bowl of Copper Mountain, swimming in Lake Granby or on his couch watching the Boston Celtics chase Banner #19!
